04 — Make · Fabrication & precision cutting

Precision is a creative tool.

A Kongsberg precision cutting table turns ideas into objects. It cuts, creases and mills almost any material to the millimeter — so if you can draw it, we can probably build it. Come with the idea; we'll figure it out together.

Materials we cut

Delicate — knife

Paper and fine art prints — intricate cuts with no burn or scorch marks, down to psaligraphy-fine detail.

Boards — knife & crease

Kapa / foam board, cardboard, corrugated and folding carton — cut and creased for boxes and builds.

Rigid — milling

Dibond, acrylic (Perspex), wood and MDF — milled to shape with clean, finished edges.

How artists use it

With the print room

Print-to-cut work flows straight from our printers to the table — one file, one registration, no middlemen.

With the frame workshop

Cut substrates, spacers and custom presentation elements feed directly into mounting and framing.

On its own

Bring a sketch, a vector file or just an idea — prototyping is part of the conversation.

What we build.

Every day with the table is a day of discoveries. A few of the regulars:

Object 01

Light boxes

Backlit works built to measure — print, diffusion and housing produced as one object.

Object 02

Artist books

Shaped and structured books — cut, creased and assembled in editions, with the print room next door.

Object 03

Paper cutting

Delicate, complex paper cuts (psaligraphy) with no burn marks — the knife's precision at its most visible.

Object 04

Exhibition elements

Plinths, panels, lettering and display structures — produced to the exhibition plan, ready to install.

Object 05

Custom packaging

Archival boxes and crates tailored to the artwork — protection designed as carefully as the piece itself.

Object 06

Whatever's next

Come with any idea that crosses your mind — together we'll try to create and realize it.
