CRUSE SCANNER
Quality printing of an original starts with a good scan of
Cruse Fine Art
The Cruse scanner provides first class quality
The Cruse Synchron Table Scanner, the world’s best system for digitizing original documents, is indispensable in creating a digital version of your masterpieces.
Good print quality is determined by where the original is digitized. Unfortunately,
it is our experience that many artists do not have good photos of their paintings or artwork.
Only when high-quality visual material is required for publication or reproduction,
for example, do people come to the conclusion that the image they themselves created is not of high quality.

We provide the best quality in art digitization. We work with the world’s best system for digitizing original artwork, namely the Cruse sync table scanner
This was a really conscious choice for HC Editions, and the biggest museums in the world, including our Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam, also use this system. We dare to accept any competition in the field of digitization. To prove that Cruse Scanner is the best option, you can always make a proof without obligation, so that you have a good comparison with your current image.

Why is the scanner a gain in value for you?
The exposure can be fully ‘customized’ when scanning originals with some surface structure, such as oil-based originals. This allows us to emphasize the structure and texture of the source in the desired way. This yields a huge maximum definition that extends fully into the ends. 100% parallel positioning with respect to the source is ensured by fully corrected optimal precision repeat targets and a continuous straight scan line between the CCD and the source. Even exposure is ensured through computerized photometry and lighting corrections. This implies additional light loss towards the corners, and no edge distortion!
Scanning through glass
Multiple jobs can be scanned at the same time using combined scans. What this means: No more annoying reflections in the photos of your oil paintings, no more visible film grain in the photo, no more visible dust particles from the slide or scanner in the print that were not there in the original! Vulnerable originals, including large ones, can be placed simply without being in contact with a glass support or support of another material, so that they are digitized at a quality that was previously unattainable.
Lighting
The patented synchronous illumination system illuminates only a narrow strip of the source while the source moves in sync with the scanning line of the scanner above. As a result, the source is completely evenly exposed. Special lamps are used that emit almost no heat – cold cathode light tubes – so that all parts of the source are only exposed for a very short time. Thus, there is no risk of discoloration or other danger to the original. The absolute highest color quality is ensured through a complete ICC profile color management workflow.
Dimensions
Originals up to 150 x 250 cm can be scanned in one run, up to a file format of no less than 1 GB when the CCD is fully utilized. Larger originals up to 2×3 meters are scanned in 2 or 4 runs and seamlessly assembled using software
Automatic focusing system
The scanner is equipped with a full automatic focusing system, which is defined based on the thickness of the source, so that any blurring is excluded. There is no need to take paintings out of their frames because there is a minimal shadow edge. We also use a 150 x 250 cm vacuum table to keep all the thinner originals flat.
